On Thursday I hosted a Raw Food Potluck. For the last nine months I have been running a local Raw Food Meet Up. My main goal is to help promote raw foods, information and create a sense of community. When you embark on a raw food journey it makes it so much easier and enjoyable if you have friends to share your journey with. You can share recipes, compare where you buy products and just truly support one another.
The K-W Raw Food Meet Up is growing quickly and on Thursday we welcomed about 22 new members and it was really a great time. I must say that the food was amazing. Everyone really put a lot of effort into their dishes. I just love it when people who are new to raw food come to the potlucks. It just opens your eyes to how delicious raw food really is.
Due to some minor confusion we had a few members from London England join our online group. Since our group is close to London, Ontario, some people thought we were in London England. I had to tell the members that they were more than welcome to stay in our online group, but the RSVP to our potluck would be highly unlikely. 🙂
Here are a few photo’s from the raw potluck. We truly did have so many more dishes.
These kale chips were a huge hit!
As you can see from the photo below we had MANY more dishes, including kale salad, butternut squash, raw hummus, raw coleslaw and more…….
And of course it could not have happened without all our great raw foodies……
Sending out a big thank you to everyone who attended. Look forward to our next get together.
If you are trying raw food and want some extra support make sure to sign up for my newsletter and my Facebook Group.
Stay tuned for what I brought to the potluck. It will give you some ideas for the holidays.
